Cold shower – a useful discomfort

HARM

There are virtually no harms if you keep your wits about you. You shouldn’t stay in cold showers for dozens of minutes because you can freeze yourself. In addition, cold showers should be considered or checked with your doctor if you have serious heart or asthma conditions, for example.

HOW

Of course, not all showers need to be cold, but you can wash up normally with warm water first. Once you have washed, turn on the tap and turn on as much cold water as you can get out of it. Not half cold, but the coldest possible. Shower for half a minute to five minutes.

The best way to get used to the cold is to hold your neck under the shower. Another strategy is to put cold water straight out of the shower and set the timer, for example for 30 seconds next time. Of course, the cold feels worse if you concentrate on it, so music or singing in the background, for example, can help take your mind off things.

CHALLENGE YOURSELF TO A WEEK OF COLD SHOWERS!

Catch this and challenge yourself to take a cold shower every time you shower for a week. If you don’t dare to challenge yourself in a safe environment like a shower, how dare you do anything else in life? Although cold showers are a very small thing, taking them will feed your courage to do everything else in life.

Please share your experience of cold showers in the comment box below to help get as many people as possible to dare to take cold showers!
