Fate brought them together
During an interview with People magazine, Katie said, “They were destined to meet, that’s pretty clear. I think God intended that from the beginning. If they weren’t related, Hannah wouldn’t have stayed with our family. She would have been placed with other relatives.”
Katie had no idea that she would become a mother to two beautiful children so soon after she began her journey as a single adoptive parent. Although she knew in her heart that the journey would be fulfilling, she had no idea how incredible the whole experience would be.
