3. «Today I’m just doing my job for the money, and that’s enough.»
Maybe you’re not in your dream job right now, and that’s why you don’t feel like it.
Or maybe you’re in your dream job, but the pressure is so intense that going to work is stressful.
For a moment, forget about passion, ambition and any kind of work-related lust.
Decide that today, it’s enough to drag yourself to work and get the job done.
Remind yourself of the basics, like money. Money is an excellent and perfectly adequate reason to work.
4. «When I see my co-worker, I’m likely to feel instantly refreshed.»
Co-workers are the people you spend most of your waking hours with. Some of them may be your best friends, others you won’t get on with no matter how hard you try.
Whatever they are, they are your herd.
They do the same job as you, so if anyone knows what’s weighing on you at work, it’s them.
If nothing else in your upcoming workday excites you, go to work for your colleagues. You’re likely to gain understanding, peer support and new perspectives.
If you don’t get any of those things, at least you’ll get lunch companionship.
