Not in the mood to go to work? It’s OK, your workday can still be the best ever! When you’re feeling discouraged at work, here are eight ideas that might help.
1. That’s why it’s called work.»
The dictionary defines ‘work’ as: the deliberate activity of a human being to perform a task; hard, strenuous effort, toil, toil, toil, toil, toil, toil, toil.
Work therefore involves effort.
And toil is associated with unpleasant sensations, such as pinching and sweating.
So it is normal to feel difficult at times when you start work. It does not immediately mean that you are in the wrong profession or in a bad job.

When you don’t feel like going to work, remember this: the hardest part of the job is usually getting started.
Getting started can feel awkward and vague, but once you put up with the awkwardness and vagueness for a while, the work usually takes you there.
