Aren’t the symptoms easing? Ask an expert for advice
If you’re really exhausted by the heat, or if you’re a child, elderly or sick, home remedies alone may not be enough. At least in these cases, you should consult a doctor:
If the weakness, nausea and other symptoms of exhaustion are very severe or do not subside with rest, cooling and fluids.
If the cramps persist for more than an hour despite rest, drinking and eating a small amount of salt.
If you are on dehydration medication and your feet swell. The symptom may also be caused by an underlying condition.
