6. It’s able to protect you from heart disease and stroke

Coffee was said to increase blood pressure, increase cholesterol levels and increase the risk of heart attack and heart arrhythmia. However, more recent and careful studies suggest that coffee probably does not increase the risk of heart disease; in some cases it may even be beneficial.

People who drink moderate amounts of coffee each day have an 11% lower risk of heart failure than those who do not. Drinking 1 or 2 cups of coffee a day up to 6 times a week can reduce the risk of various types of cardiovascular disease.

Obviously, drinking coffee won’t completely eliminate your chances of developing heart disease or having a stroke (you need a good diet, lifestyle and good genes too). But if simply adding coffee to your diet helps reduce the risks, why not try it?
