5. Fairmont Grand Del Mar
The Tom Fazio-designed Grand Golf Club at The Grand Del Mar is open only to resort guests, resort villa owners and club members. Its practice facilities include a 5,000-square-foot driving range, a short game practice area and a putting green. The club’s Performance Academy uses high-speed cameras and other high-tech tools to measure golfers’ skills, and PGA-certified instructors to improve them.
6. Montage Palmetto Bluff
The 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course winds through the May River Forest and features eco-friendly Paspalum on its fairways and boxes. Practice facilities include a 5-acre short-game area with three regulation-sized greens.
