7. La Sultana Oualidia
The 5-star La Sultana Oualidia is set on a sandy beach by a sea lagoon on Morocco’s rugged western coast about 2.5 hours’ drive from Marrakech. With kasbah-like architecture inclusive of turrets and terraces, the hotel is beautifully designed. The rooms all feature sitting areas, wood-burning fireplaces, and a private terrace with a hot tub. There are also larger suites with tubs in giant marble bathrooms. A number of rooms are interconnecting, making this resort a good choice for families. The resort can arrange babysitting and even a kids’ surf class.
