1 Gheorghe Muresan
Gheorghe Muresan is a Romanian former professional basketball player. He is 7 feet 7 inches and he is tied with Manute Bol for the tallest player ever in the history of the game.
In the 1995-1996 season, he acquired the NBA Most Improved Player Award, averaging around 14.5 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.26 blocks per game. Gheorghe Muresan tops the list of the top 10 tallest NBA players of all time.
2 Manute Bol
You might know Manute Bol as the tall guy who played for the Washington Bullets, but his height (7’7″) was just one of his many accomplishments.
He’s also Sudanese and a center. As a defensive specialist and shot-blocker. Bol was also an excellent passer with great court vision.
In addition to these skills, he was a good rebounder due to his height advantage over smaller players on both ends.
Bol was chosen by the Washington Bullets in the 1985 NBA draft. Bol played for the Bullets and three other teams during his whole NBA career.
Manute is regarded as the best shot-blockers in the history of the game and is the only NBA player to exit with more career blocked shots than points scored.
