3. Wynn Las Vegas
This sprawling resort – with its huge emphasis on natural light, greenery and other earthy elements – is perhaps the first central Las Vegas hotel to master the feeling of seclusion rather than themed chaos. The rooms here are no different. Standard rooms here are large (starting at more than 600 square feet) and incredibly elegant. Not only are accommodations dressed in and pristine white and cream color palette but they come outfitted with luxurious amenities such as 55-inch flat-screen TVs, deep soaking tubs and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer incredible views of the city and its mountains. Outside of the rooms you’ll find a bevy of restaurant options and the posh casino, to name a few of the many things offered here. Do know that you’ll pay a pretty penny for everything here (and a daily resort fee on top of that), although most visitors say it’s worth it the splurge. The Wynn enjoys a centralized location with Encore, The Palazzo and The Venetian all within walking distance.
4. The Little Nell
Sitting at the base of Aspen Mountain on the southern edge of town, The Little Nell caters to snow junkies with on-site services such as a ski concierge team (who can secure everything from lift tickets to ski rentals) and an equipment storage center. However, guests say that the hotel’s proximity to powder isn’t the only reason to book. The Little Nell’s two in-house restaurants – element47 and Ajax Tavern – earn high praise for their artfully prepared plates, and the hotel spa is ideal for post-skiing relaxation. What’s more, The Little Nell is well-equipped to welcome families thanks to a variety of kid-friendly amenities, such as board games, bike rentals, car seats, strollers and more. Although you won’t be spending much time indoors, you can look forward to resting up in a spacious and inviting guest room, surrounded by warm, soothing cream-colored hues, a gas fireplace, a well-stocked minibar and a flat-screen TV.
