Branson
#3 in Best Weekend Getaways in the Midwest
This Missouri town abuts Table Rock Lake and provides an abundance of family-friendly activities. Branson’s 76 Country Boulevard is still lined with the venues that made it famous, including the Historic Owen Theatre and Dolly Parton’s Stampede. Additional sights along the thoroughfare include the Titanic Museum Attraction, a large replica of the famous ship, and the Bigfoot Fun Park, a sasquatch-themed amusement park. Not all of Branson’s notable attractions sit along 76, though. Be sure to venture a few miles northwest of downtown Branson to Silver Dollar City, an 1880s-style theme park with skilled artisans and more than 40 rides.
