Portland, ME
#3 in Best Places to Visit in June
Maine’s most populated city sees lower amounts of rainfall and some of its highest temperatures in June, making it a great time for wandering through the Old Port district, strolling along the Eastern Promenade Trail and visiting the Casco Bay Islands by ferry. This New England city is also an excellent place to try a Maine lobster roll, as well as locally made beers. If you prefer vino to beer, time your trip to coincide with Portland Wine Week in mid-June.
Prince Edward Island
#4 in Best Places to Visit in June
Prince Edward Island may be Canada’s smallest province, but it is big on relaxation. Life seems to move a little more slowly here, making it a great place to unwind. Fans of the classic novel «Anne of Green Gables» flock to the island to see the fictional character’s home, while beachgoers visit to take advantage of PEI’s dune-filled beaches. Arrive in June to enjoy a leisurely stroll or bike ride along the shore before more tourists come to the island later in summer.
