Avalon
#2 in Best New Jersey Beaches
Early birds are sure to love the stunning sunrises that grace Avalon’s shores each morning. Later in the day, visitors can surf, swim or lounge on inflatable rafts at this southern New Jersey beach. The town prides itself on its accessible beaches and surf chair program, which provides physically challenged patrons with complimentary wheelchairs designed specifically for the sand. (But remember to keep the chairs on the sand since they cannot be submerged underwater.)
