One of the best things about travelling is that you can discover local specialities and have new culinary experiences. Keep in mind that in some cases, food can quickly turn into a nightmare. That’s why today we’re going to show you the foods you don’t need to eat while traveling, because some of them can be deadly.
1. Deadly blowfish in Japan
Fugu, known as the blowfish because of its delicate flesh, is a very popular and poisonous fish among the Japanese, but be careful because it is very deadly. Some organs, especially the ovaries, liver and eyes, contain tetrodotoxin, a toxic poison that paralyzes the muscles and kills in as little as 4 hours. Once these organs are completely removed, any risk can be tested if the dish is prepared by a state-licensed chef serving it in his restaurant. Be careful what you eat during your trip to Japan!

2. Sannakji octopus eaten fresh from Korea
Sannakji is a Korean culinary specialty that can kill you! This small octopus is eaten alive so that the suction cups on the tentacles stick to the taste pa, tongue or throat and cause suffocation. If you still dare to taste it, you must first chew the sucker well and then chew the rest of the tentacle for a few minutes before swallowing it to avoid these types of problems.
