When shopping at the supermarket, we always try to figure out what to buy so that our food doesn’t spoil or go bad before we eat it. Sometimes with some foods we think that if we store them in the fridge they will last longer and stay fresh for longer. However, this is not true as some foods lose all their properties and spoil quickly when stored in the refrigerator.
Apples
Apples are a nutritious and healthy product that contains many vitamins, nutrients and lots of fiber. They are also a very filling fruit that can be eaten between meals and can stave off hunger until lunchtime. If kept at room temperature, apples will stay fresh for about one to two weeks, and yes, always store them separately from other fruit as they can spoil due to the natural gas released. Of course, never store them in the fridge, because even if they look good on the outside, they will lose their nutrients and flavour.

Avocados
Avocados are one of the superfoods that everyone should eat. Avocados are a fruit rich in omega-3 fats, which help our bodies to lower bad cholesterol, and they also contain a lot of fibre, which is very filling and helps to go to the toilet regularly and lower blood sugar levels. To keep them fresh longer, don’t keep them in the fridge as they will dry out sooner and lose their properties, better to keep them in a cool and dry place.
